Blown shocks....Need Advise please!
Blown shocks....Need Advise please!
Hello all!
I have a 2001 Civic LX coupe....for the last 3 years I had it lowered on Eibach...I recently took off the Eibach and put the original springs back on. One problem, my original shocks are now blown and need to be replaced. What kind of shocks / struts should I get? Do i need both front and back? Where should i buy the shocks / struts at?
Since my car is not raised to original height, I dont think I need performance shocks...I just want more original smooth ride back! Please let me know if you have suggestions...I really do need help!

Well your going to need new shocks in the front and rear. If you dont want aftermarket shocks just get OEM ones even tho they are going to cost as much as aftermarket ones.

get the tokicos
or if you are really cheap try to find some good used ones from a member who is getting a full coil over kit.

if you get...
OEM: value of car will be actual. when selling or trading in the car, your car will have "no worn/wear of shocks". NOTE: DO NOT PURCHASE DIRECTLY FROM HONDA DEALER. YOU'LL REGRET IT IF YOU DO
Tokico blues: aftermarket, value of car most likely goes down. best decision IMO, known to be good for street use. affordable and reasonable for its price
Koni Yellow: an insert which may be for your situation. high cost. not worth going for if you just want that stock/smooth ride back. requires more work of installation compared to others.
i'd personally consider the tokico blues. but i have a question: why did you put stock springs back on?
