Positive/Negative?
My rear speakers in my 04 Civic have 2 wires going into it. One is a blue one with a yellow stripe, the other is a pink wire on the right speaker. One the left speaker, there's a blue wire with a white stripe and a blue wire with a black stripe. Which one is positive and which one is negative?

OK, one last thing. On the ciggarette lighter, there's a yellow wire with a green stripe and a black wire. I'm assuming the black is ground, but just wanted to make sure. Is that right?

It's a little thing that looks like a screwdriver, has a probe on one end and an alligator clip on the other which is for ground.
You hook up the alligator clip (which is on the end of a wire) to a ground source then use the probe to find a power source and when u do the light inside the handle lights up
useful tool to own

If you ever do electrical work it's a good thing to have
I think they used to have a complete wiring diagram/chart on the site when it was in it's old incarnation, but I haven't seen it since they changed the site

i think the wiring diagram has been moved to the section for alarm install...
i swear they keep making this site harder and harder to use....i cant get this forum to auto subscribe to threads i replied to...i have to subscribe to them manually but then the webmaster made it harder to manually subscribe to threads...i now have to click two links to subscribe...
btw, i think test lights suck..hehe...not very versatile...just my opinion but i think it's better to spend a few more dollars to buy a multimeter and learn how to use it.

Lol ya, I don't have a meter lying around either. Anyway, I was just gonna tap the ciggarette lighter for the remote wire. The worst that can happen is the amp won't turn on if it's the wrong wire, right?
