How to play laptop mp3s on the car radio?
Does anybody know what is the best way to hook up my laptop to my car's speakers so that I can play music?
Some sort of RF modulator or something? Or is there some other special cable I could buy?

FM mod is the easiest way, but would have to be a wired FM modulator which would take your antenna into the mod, then the mod would plug into the HU unless you wanted to run power, ground and RCA's all the way to the back of your car, probably onto the rear deck or roof somewhere, because it has to be close to the antenna otherwise it will sound TERRIBLE (trust me, I know)

I found a module which should provide you with an AUX in which will give you great quality sound.

If you buy one, let me know how it works out as I haven't heard from anybody who ha used it yet.

If you don't want to just go out and spend the money, hold off for a little bit until the review comes back from somebody else on here who ordered one.

Yes, the AUX-BOX will give you a pair of RCA's that you can use to hook up the device of your choice to the stock head unit.
How you will access this device from the head unit I do not know

My friend bought one of those and it works great. Only problem is you need to have in grounded or ungrounded depending on whether your device is plugged in or not (at least for his iPod). He opted for the battery-powered way, so he can't charge his iPod in his car and listen to music (gets weird sound skips and problems).
A solution would be to make a switch to ground/unground it, but he's not much of a DIY guy...
