In this case it does. Time to mess with the stereo. Have first half of the system done but need to do some re-wiring. Does anyone have a link to or have it written down....the color codes to the wiring harness behind the radio? Remote, positive, ACC, Illumination, etc etc. Ran the 4gauge and the RCA's and the remote lines today. I would like to finish it tomorrow so put on your thinking caps and start up your search engines folks. Thanks and Luv ya Lots..................

I think it's like this:

Remote = Blue
Positive = Red
Negative = Black
ACC = Yellow
Illumination = ???

You are better off buying an adapter harness, that way you can return it to stock, and you won't risk voiding your warranty.

The only wire that does not hook up with the aftermarket harness is the power antenna wire for the antenna in the window. It is yellow/green.

Illumination wire should be orange or orange/white

Just buy an aftermarket harness that will connect to your stereo harness, and the colors should all match up.

You could, in theroy, connect it without a harness. But why would you? It saves you $15 at most. It's worth $15 to me to be able to go to the car, pull out the dash, and unplug one plug and get the HU out. There's a wiring diagram here somewhere. Might also be a DIY (I don't remember).

I guess I forgot to mention that I already had the head unit installed and they put an aftermarket harness. Just wanted the stock codes but I suppose if I have the aftermarket color codes that I can match them to the stock ones.
