Harness bar for 2k1 yet?
I would love to get hold of a Sparco harness bar for my car. Do I need one....No. Will it look good in the car....Yes (imo anyway). Is there anything else out there we can use, Sparco doesn't have it for our car yet and I somehow doubt they ever will

You can always just have a custom bar welded in. However, if you ever do autox again, it is illegal for STS and so is a roll cage I believe.

Roll bars are legal, but they can not be welded in, only bolted.
Stock Rule 13.2 Bodywork
Roll bars and roll cages may be added (see Appendix C). It is strongly recommended that they be constructed according to Section 18 of the current GCR. Roll bars may be welded. Roll cages must be bolted, not welded, into the automobile and within the driver/passenger compartment. A roll cage has more than four attachment points to the body or frame, or has bracing both fore and aft of the main hoop.
If its legal in Stock then its legal in STS... However the added weight ushuall costs you more time then the added chassis rigidity can help.

But I see your point. It was just a concern if he was gonna do autox again. Last edited by robbclark1; Jul 22, 2004 at 12:33 PM.

On a side note, if you were ever to want to actually road race (actual Club Racing not open track) autopower roll bars make excelent starting points for Full SCCA legal Roll Cages.

That would be the one. I've though about getting one before, but the added weight has always stoped me (I'm already 500 LBS heavier then the Si I have to chase down)
I know I am reviving this thread from the dead, but I was just wondering if Dezod.com still cariies these roll cages. I looked on the site but couldn't find them. If not, anyone know where else I could find them??..
Thanks
Thanks
