Best size for sealed incloser for shiva?

Whats the optimum size for a shiva in a sealed box? I'm currently running 1.2, and was thinking of changing.

Thanks,

Does the enclosure have to be of a specific shape or could I make it wider and shorter depth, of less hight more depth, etc etc. As long as its still 1.8CF?

Also would it be better to make it out of 1" MDF, or will there be no difference with 3/4"?

3/4" is more then adequate. Just don't make the box an exact square.

I have it in 1.8 cubed now and it sounds good. If you have any especially long/wide panels with the 3/4", you should add a little piece to brace it, even the 1" should be braced a lil

Check the Adire website or e-mail them and ask for some specs, they might even give you a good box design.

Hmmmm - I'll trust you lud - you know your stuff - Somebody told me 2.5 but I doubt he really knew what he was talking about. I've been researching and more and mroe people were recommending 1.8 cubes.

ive tried 2.4 sealed, and it was just too sloppy, even for hiphop and other loose bass musics.

I love 1.8

What type of bass reproduction comes from 1.8 cubes with the Shiva - I would assume accurate/tight bass - I just want to check though since I'm getting my enclosure this weekend. I mostly listen to rock - i occasionally listen to rap - will it still give me a looser bass for rap while providing accurate and tighter bass for rock and such. I hate subs that are too boomy - will 1.8 cubes accomplish this? Thanks!
