Jackson Racing Supercharger Petition
Email to be sent to JR:
-------------------------------------------------------------------------
Hello, from what I understand, Jackson Racing does not intend to make a supercharger appliction for the 7th generation Honda Civic (2001+). The purpose of this email is ask you to reconsider. To my knowledge, no other supercharger kit is available for the 7th gen. There are turbocharger applications, but because of the location of the catalytic converter (one piece exhaust manifold/cat) they will never be street legal on the VP, DX, LX, HX models. Jackson Racing, being a respected leader in the industry, could fill this void.
Following this email is a list of 7th gen Civic owners who are interested in a Jackson Racing supercharger. We are members of www.7thgencivic.com, a website dedicated to '01+ Civics. Please stop by and post in the forums section.
Thanks for your time,
sitinduk (sitinduk@yahoo.com) - 2003 Honda Civic LX owner

Please post your email and year and model of your civic if want to sign this petition. Feel free to post changes to the email if u want. I was going to send this email after we get 10-15 signitures.
-------------------------------------------------------------------------
Thanks for signing, email has been sent.

OK, maybe a long time down the road JR will consider a 7th gen SC.
However, when the 7thgen first came out JR bought themselves a demo car, that they INTENDED to make a SC for. However about a year after buying it, it was sold on ebay by JR. So its quite obvious that they don't plan on making a SC for the 7thgen, or they came to the conclusion that it would be too hard.

They are morons
even tho there are a bunch of civics runnin around on the street...they think its too hard to boost and not cost efficient for the amount of power it will give out. (wasn't that what i read on some thread once)
but anyway

Email was sent. No response yet (not really expecting one).
Putting together a custom SC kit would be kool, but it would require a custom intake manifold for roots type SC and custom drive belt brackets for both roots and cetrifugal. I understand that all that custom work would not be worth it if u can go w/ a turbo instead, but sometimes it's just hard to let things go.

I'd rather have a supercharger then a turbo for my 'vic (no offense to the boosted on this forum)...

The following is Jackson Racing's reply to our request:
--------------------------------------------------------------------------
Thanks for the show of support. The cold hard reality is that in order
to break even on a new supercharger design we must sell hundreds.
There
simply aren't enough hard core enthusiasts that want to modify the new
1.7 motor. I wish we could help, but the investment for us would be a
losing proposition.
Having said all that, we are working very closely with Hasport and will
soon be developing a Supercharger specifically designed to work in the
new Civic with a K24 engine. There is a good possibility we will
easily
be able to get this system emissions certified. These systems will be
sold exclusively through Hasport. Check in with the guys at Hasport in
a few months to check on progress.
Regards,
Mike Chaput, Marketing Manager
Jackson Racing

It's kool that they took the time to reply. I'm disapointed but not suprised. It will be nice to see a SC'ed K24 in a vic.
