s2000 bites the dust.....Close race.
I was cruzin around on friday night and there was this sick yellow s2000 on the street. Im not sure what kind of mods it had but I am pretty sire it was stock, Anyway there was a red light that we pulled up to and its great cause the guy and his friend wer laughing when I reved at them. So we took off down the street and let me say that this was a close a$$ race. It was neck and neck all they way up to 4th gear. He pulled ahead a bit in 5th not sure why but when I hit sixth gear I got a nice little jump on him and beat him by like half a car length if that.

PS: The look on his face was priceless .

He must have not been able to drive. If he was by himself and a good driver, than you would have had a hard time keeping up. Good job though on keeping up with him.

i kept up with one of those on the highway. I was behind the guy and he downshifted and took off, i decided to follow him. I dropped it to fourth and pretty much stayed right on his back bumper. I wanna try and race one from a stop.

well it'll do about 110 in 5th so....yea he was probably doin like 120's. Governor is 138 so....

yea its not exactly a off the line car, but they are quick on the top end.

of course...is any honda really a off the line car?.....no.

yeah, mags get their numbers by doing things that no owner in their right mind would do (i think MT launched the s2000 in Vtec, so thats like 6K rpms right?)

Ya see a couple I know who have the rsx-s and have it modded similar to mine run high 13's on the track. And I think it wasnt he couldnt drive he was just cocky cause he thought he was fast.

I dont know about you guys but with a light a$$ civic like mine with a stripped rear and light weight race seats im pretty sure I run high 13's or low 14's. But we shall see when i go. I will post my times for you all and some videos .

Thats a good question. I dunno he might have let off when I hit sixth. but either way im happy cause he just looked stunned that a civic could do something like that to an s2000. But we both slowed when we hit 125mph and i was ahead of him so i dont know. maybe it wasnt a legit kill.

The swap was 7500 and then another grand or so in mods. Yeah I have a sweet video of an rsx killing an s2000 if you guys want i can post it.

see i hate that kind of stuff. i wish i can supercharge my s2000 to be sure i can kill most sleepers. that right there must of been embarrasing for the s2000....i'ma have to go to my s2k forum and find out who this was good kill!

Yeah ask around the forums. THe location was in california and the street we raced on was crown valley.

I messed around with an S2000 on the highway lol. All I could tell was that he had a cat-back and I believe an intake. Either way, I pulled on him fairly smoothly then we both shut down.
