Loan for my WRX is approved! woo woo!!
Just got off the phone with my credit union and I was approved for 25k! They are even calling around and finding the price and options I am looking for! I told her the location of one for 21k, so im hoping (after taxes and licensing) I can use the remainder of the money to upgrade to Cobb Stage 2 after my break in. woooo!! low 13's here I come! Pics will be up as soon as I find one I want!

with my trade in, its about 325. Im paying 280 for the vic now, so another $45 a month for a much faster car is A-OK with me.
on another note.. for anybody in san diego county, I have nothing but props for San Diego County Credit Union. Im 20 with virtually no credit (parents didnt let me co-sign on the vic) and they were willing to work with me to get my loan approved. If you are for a new car def hit them up! VERY nice people to talk to and can understand your situation.

Where did you find that it's only $650? I'm assuming he's getting a new Scooby, so the Stage II would be $1535-1690 depending on whether or not he got the cat.
Sounds like fun though. That's some mad hp for $1600.

yea, im going stage II as soon as I break it in. But stage I is only $650 and is good for another 30 or so HP. Stage II drastically improves the spool up time, and gives you the power much earlier in the powerband. Good drivers can hit 13.2 - 13.4 with stage 2. 285hp at the flywheel and 225hp to the wheels.. gonna be fun :P

My insurance went up about $50 a month, but its the price to pay for all the smiles ill get when I drop the right foot.
nice! although the payments won't go up by much, the insurance is going to skyrocket.
that's what is keeping me from getting a type s, even though my civic is already paid off and i can put down a 10,000 down payment. i'm gonna wait another year and wait for my insurance to get the 3-year perfect driving 20% discount before i go for it.

Dude what year are you going to get? If you get a 2002 or 2003 I have an AccessPort already on the way that you can have... I'll sell it for the same price from Cobb and you wont have to wait 8 weeks + to get it.. That is how long I have been waiting so far... I just traded in for an S2000, so I have no use for it... get at me

P.S. I just e-mailed Cobb and I am supposed to get mine in 2-3 weeks.

NoFriends, I'm not meaning to rag on the car. I friggen LOVE WRXs, but since I haven't sat in an 04, I'll ask you this...
I know the 02 WRX had doors, and well, an entire interior for that matter, that felt like complete junk. It was a badass car, but the doors felt cheaply light and the plastics inside felt like toys. Have they fixed that for the 04s?

I havent had much experience with the 02's so i cant really tell you the difference. But on the 04's the interior does look "cheap." Yet while it may appear cheap, the car is very functional.. The front seats give enough leg room for even my 6'3 frame to drive comfortably, as well as a high enough roof so I can sit straight up should i want to. TONS of trunk room, and small but of course the 2 back seats should i need to haul some friends around.
While its not terrible, its not going to be benz quality.. Im buying the car for the AWD and Turbo, anything else takes a back seat.
