Earlier today my girl and I are leaving the mall, just cruising headed home through a basicly empty industrial area. I hear some noise coming up behind me & it is a 6th gen Civic getting OWNED by a Grand Prix. Well they pass me but about 100 yards up there is a red light. At the light the Grand Prix turns off and the civic is stopped. Approaching from the rear here is what I see :

1. Part of the tails thats supposed to be on the trunk have been removed, metal welded over, and painted with out grinding down the welds.
2. Car is dropped and the camber is f'ed looked lite this /-----| (one side was straight the other was way off)
3. What looked to be 2 N1 style canisters POORLY welded together.

Needless to say this guy thought he was HOT! I pull up (04 I/H/E, not even dropped yet) and this guy is eyeing me and starts reving. My girls like "Your not gonna?", but i say what the hell and rev back. Light turns green & by the top of second I have 1.5 car lengths on him. At this point I shift up and just kinda coast for a minute & then hes next to me rolling rev'ing again. So I drop back down and get about 1 car length ahead of him when we start approaching RR crossing (with train) and have to stop. We are at the crossing for about 3 minutes and the whole time the guy wont even look over at me. When the arms finaly went up I proceded slowly across the tracks and the other guy just sat there. In my rearview I saw he finally started moving after about another 30 seconds.

THIS WAS JUST TO LOL!!

There are too many of those ppl around here. I'll see not the typical cars flying down the highways now adays. I remember 1 time this like... 1991 Corolla racing a 5 series, that was funny. Or a Pulsar NX racing a modded 5.0. And just last night, these 2 HUGE @ss Caddies were going at it. And another Corolla (maybe 94) was racing some old Pontiac thing.... just stupid stuff.

Atlteas your race was Civic and CIvic... not like some other races.

yeah, thats fun. bunch of high schoolers wanted to race in their 6th gen too.....yes i was alone and there ware 3 total in the car....they instigated...and i burned. lol....i'm stock and love it!!!!!!!!! otherwise, i don't like street racing anymore....i wanna go for show. =)

What about them big a$$ tach's too. I see them driving around, muffler is hanging by a coathanger and a huge tach drilled into the dashboard, they already have a stock tach?????? They try to race me but I just laugh at them, or better yet I give a nice big rev back and hold it, and when the light turns green, they take off spinning tires and i take off like a granny.

yea man....we see things like that around here all the time...i love when these younger kids that are just starting to drive pulls up to you in a beat up hatch with like AT LEAST 4 different colors and just rev...i can't even look at them without laughing my @$$ off. I just don't know what to say bout that. Get a real car that's worth investing money into first and then maybe i'll take them serious

Dont get me wrong i dont believe my car to be even sorta fast BUT there are ALWAYS slower crappier cars out there. The point was more that some people do the crappiest things to cars & think that they are the NEW HOTNESS!

You would get killed here. Some people have the the beat up hatch look for a reason. I know of a few people with that decription. They all run b16's, b18's, b20's and h22's. And for a while I was looks for the exact same car.

oh don't get me wrong...i know my car's engine ain't all modded up either but i know that these hatches around here ain't **** for sure...there are some out there that have the look for a reason...but the ones that have the b16's and b18's in it, they are also the ones that everyone knows about already...i'm not try'na talk trash ya know...just getting a point across about the crappy cars with mods

I understand where you are coming from. Just, around here, thats what the cars look like. Its usually for the mustang owners that like to mess with acuras and hondas.

But, they also have the dumb @sses that have the plates in the trunk and the double decker wings.

I just seen a mitsu eclipse today, around a 1995? and he had stock rims a body kit, primer all over and 2 big squares cut in the hood with t cone filters sticking part-way out, and a crappy loud exhaust. Why don't peolpe fix it up before they drive it like that?

What gets me, why do people put big *** audio systems in a car when the front bumper is falling off. What does a loud system do? it draws attention... what are they drawing attention to? a piece of crap.. what are people going to do? Point and laugh.

I am driving my girfriends civic and i just thank god that the windows are tinted so no one can see me inside of it. Its so embarrassing, I cant imagine doing anything to draw attention to me. (its not because its a civic, its because of its condition)

you should check out my sleeper when i get it back on wed or thurs. it will always look like a p.o.s. with the crappy spray paint job i did on it. b18b crx with crower 402t cams, p/p, ferrea stainless steel 1mm oversized valves, darton sleeves, eagle rods, and arias pistons (10:1 compression) and turbo with hondata s200 /w boost option. pushing 20 lbs = 400 whp easy. and a crx is a civic.

not really a grenade. cheesefrog in honda-tech.com runs with that same compression. with like 30lbs of boost. he has a vid of a 10 sec pass @ 132 mph. just amazing. its fine as long as you have a good tuner and super good fuel mang like hondata. and always run 93 octane

when u do get the 20lbs boost and run it, film it and post... ive never seen sumone blow theirselves up before. lol. but 20lbs sounds alot to me. my car is bone stick (internally) and im afraid of boosting 8lbs. lol. is it true that the 7th gens can boost 9lbs with no problems?? a guy from a performance shop told me that...

sure i will be happy to film it. i talked to cheesefrog about this setup and he actually agrees that it wouldnt blow up. and no its not a d17, its a b18b with forged internals.
