What body kit do you have????
Hey guys, i'm getting more interested in a body kit. well, first lets say i just started to make a little money w/ my job and decided to do what i always wanted to do. make a show car...little by little. =T....by no means do i want to mess w/ my engine..except for maybe some dressup....otherwise...everyone gotta look nice on the outside/inside. anway...to keep it short...i want to get a body kit. esp sinc ei just got rear ended and have a dent in my rear bumper. ANYWAY...i was wondering what kits you guys have and how you like them. I see some cheap ones on ebay that i wouldn't mind getting..but they are fiberglass and not poly(YOUR-A-THANE). now whats the big difference? i know fiberglass would brake if you hit like a big stone in road or something...and then poly would sagg in the heat???? so i've heard...anyway, i live in texas and shizzzz...it gets hott as anything here...so you think i should go w/ fiber? i'm lost my friends and am looking for help. thanks a lot!!!! and yes, its a kinda noob question so i flame myself now... me ~~~>>
yeah....me again ~~~~>>
thanks peoples!

I personally woulndn't go with FiberGlass for the Front bumper, but I think Sides and Rear should be ok. But since you have to get the rear bumper, how about WW kit? I think they look nice except the front. I like the Tsunami front better

I have the R34 or octane kit(same kit). its all fiberglass the front scraps a little on some driveways leading into parking lots. It's never a perfect fit with a body kit unless it's shaved.

well if u still want fog lights dont get the r-34 and the pic says it all. and about the sagging issue i was just reading about that in the other forums and i guess on guy cleared it up saying that it only happens at high temperatures and it rarely happens. i'll try and find the link that i saw it on.

go with the r34 kit! i really like the bomex kit too. I had a fiberglass front end, until i demolished it thanks to a huge dip in the road. now i have a urethane r34 front end and it sags like a biatch. but imo id go with the poly front end for a daily driver.

go with urethane bro, my bomex fiberglass front was repair twice, pain in the a$$ 300 each time, also fiberglass can even crack after driving extremely fast over time

you think thats the best one out??? there is one for sale right now..but its fiberglass. i think its 300 shipped...not bad at all...but..still...fiberglass....=P
Go with the urethane. Definately. I live in Houston Tx too. I have had my Tsunami Front Bumper (urethane) for almost two years now and i live in an apartment and work at a place with no covered parking. That means i am always exposed to direct sunlight and heat for almost all of the day. However my bumber is no where near being messed up. Urethane (definately).
I need TP for my bunghole

I have the first OEM 7th gen kit.
I like that it is Urethane.
Don't get fiberglass!
I really dig the sides on the 2 nd OEM kit though.

I've got the octane r-34. I personally like that and the buddy club 2 more than the r-33. Getting it painted soon hopefully but having some money problems.

I have the Xenon kit. Fitment was perfect, not mods needed anywhere. The kit is urethane and it really really bends. I scrape constantly and the side skirts and the bumper just flex under pressure and bounce back into shape. Here is a pic
I had the r34 fiberglass front kit, and it scraped with out my car being lowered. Then i hit a curb, the rest is history..... So i got the urathane front now and it sags when it gets hot. Catch 22. . . .

anyway, go with urethane because its safer. my car is really low and i scrape everyday and my bumper and sideskirts just flex and go back to being normal....... urethane is almost like rubber.
fiberglass doesnt flex under a lot of pressure.... it cracks.
mine is xenon
