is this intake smog legal? like do i have to take it off and put back the original one when i take my car to smog?

Intake is CARB legal. It has the sticker on it. I will post pictures when I take them. Wonderz, you got PM!

I thought the kind of intakes were based on transmission type? Not by model trim.

it is base on tranmission trim, but that doesnt do anything with being carb legal, there only a few intake that carb legal, aem is carb legal, and i think injen is, or it carb pending, one of the main reason take aem over other intake cuz the carb excempt

Nope. It will not fit on an LX or DX. I'm not sure about the HX. The LX/DX model have a dip especially made for the shape of the intake and the engine bay. This intake will only fit an EX model 7thgencivic, both manual and automatic transmissions.
