well the only reason i did it is because i needed to do something and if i want a lot of ppl with 04 spec-v's want black rims so i could deff trade easily but i like them as for the paint
i used black sandable primer and black caliper paint im gonna sand and clear coat them another day as for the close pic i would but they arent the best right now after i sand them ill post pics and the thing about the hubcaps thats just the pics in real life u can actually tell they are rims
no they come kinda silver ill find a pic of my spec-v before the paint
as for the lip thing these rims have no lip at all the spokes just flow into the rim pretty much so no way of doing a lip really

you knwo that dude? he goes to my college and i seen his car there everyday.... he goes to Bucks right?
type of paint
What type of paint did you use. Also would the paint stick without peeling if the rims still have the clear coat on them or would I need to finely sand them down? Any help would be great!!!

Dude, I like it. I think a DIY would be great for people with older rims with curb damage or just trying to change their look. I have a set of older rims right now that are kinda battered and bruised and I cant find anywhere that can match their color (semi gloss carbon) so doing something like this would really bring the car back to life. BTW, how long did this take you? Do you think the paint will be strong enough to hold up over rocks and grime?

I think it looks phat... I just got straight gunmetal rota tarmac's with no polished lip on my blue wrx and it looks phat... kinda like this... I dont think pictures do it justice.. they look a lot better in person

i used black sandable primer and black caliper paint on them my drivers rear wheel had bad curb damage fromt he snow so it looked like **** i didnt sand the wheels at all but the primeron then the paint and it took like 45 mins to dry i did it all in like 2hr or less (12:00-2:10) and hustle does that white spec have chrome rims on it some kid was telling me about a white spec-v with a body kit and rims
and my friend did his wheels the same way but with clear coat and after like a year he had one rock chip on the one wheel so after i sand mine and clear them itwill stand up to rocks
