Official Post Meguiar's Detail Day Meet Talk 6/5/04
First off I just want to thank George, Mike, and Meguiar's for giving us this great opportunity to learn the right way of detailing our cars. I dont think any other company out there has taken their time to invite us to their facilities as Meguiar's had. Its great to see there are companies that arent just money hungry and that they DO take the time to teach and educate fellow car enthusiasts.
For those that didnt come, you guys missed out. One of the best meets yet. We got food and drinks for FREE. They also handed out gift baskets that included a full bottle of quick detail, 2 foam applicator pads, microfiber towel, their new car wash strip thing, a sample of their new NXT wax and an appraisal guide, how awesome is that.
We also got to try any product we wanted on our cars. There were tons and tons to choose from. Mike also showed us hwo to buff out swirl marks/scratches. Well pretty much how to turn a 2 year old car into a car you just pulled out of the dealership. It was amazing to see the difference from before and after.
But yeah thanks again for everything, I had a great time...
Sorry I wasnt really introducing myself this time around. I'm the "13 year old" wes kept on baggin on.

There were a lot of flakers! But all in all, it was a fun day. Check out this last pic, the left side had a bunch of stuff on it (I forgot, but it was hand done with Clay bar, cleaner wax, polish, and NXT wax), the right side was just clay barred I believe. My car is the black sedan. Mike was really cool, he buffed my whole trunk lid. Time was running out, but I would have done the whole car! I got to the hood a little bit, but not too good. These guys are awesome. I'm convinced that Meguiars definitely has the best stuff out there. But I still like Clay Magic Clay Bar though, everything else (wax, microfiber towels, polish, etc) goes to Meguairs! Good meet guys.
That was a great event. I learned a lot even though I'm in the business. I drove away $300 poorer, but it's all good. I can't wait for my paint to cure so that I can start my new maintenance program.
Thanks again everyone,
Matt

Dang yeah that was a fun meet! Very happy to have my car demonstrated on ;-) Free food, samples and learned a lot! Can't ask for much more than that! Can't wait to get some products to finish waxing the rest of my car!
