i posted this in the electrical question and could not get a response so here it is...
i really dont like it plugged into my cigrette lighter so i wanted to know if you could wire it so that it can still work and the wire will be hid. thanks.

a while ago there was a DIY for hardwiring a detector into the map lights, if you have a cobra, bel or escort or something of comparable size they fit nicely right above the rear view
