Question After installing lowering springs...

After installing lowering springs, how long after should you wait for them to settle and then get an alignment?

A week should be sufficient.

Alrighty, thanks Let's say it was the Eibach Pro Kit, a 1" drop won't do that much "damage" to the tires for a week before getting an alignment, will it?

^^ Nope, it shouldn't. That is, if you don't drive like a mad man taking turns at 30 mph.

No. I have the eibach pro-kit. I waited a week and a 1/2, 2 weeks before the alignment.

I was told that the time you wait depends on the weather. If its colder it takes longer I guess.

Anyone hear that?

i align EVERY drop kit i install right after the drop, then recomend that the car return for a check with in 30 days to have it rechecked. Our wheel alignments carry a 30 day warranty thou, so not sure about your local alignmnet shops. It's always best to have it set first then re-checked later. When i did my sportlines i aligned it right after the install then rechecked it about 6 weeks later and was still with in specs. You would be amazed how much tire wear can happen in a few weeks if its out. What lots of people dont think about is what if the alignment is already way out and then you drop it and dont check it! It can then be so far out that the car is unsafe to drive! Anyway its something to think about.

Good info. How much does an alignment cost roughly anyway? (I'd be getting it done at the dealership if I do get them).
