no, but it'd be nice to do
you'll have to buy the SiR axles for the type-S, so that you can keep your hubs and whatnot.
unless you want to do the 5 lug conversion that is...

yes, the rsx has 5lug
and to comment on zen master: dusting a higher known quality car with a CIVIC is the best feeling you can get.. which is from seeing the face reactions of the other driver's face. lol

There goes fuel economy!
@ 94 cents a liter for bronze gas.. I'm damn glad I bought a 4 door civic with no vtec. I can redline every gear and still use less gas than most luxary vehicles revving to 2000 rpm.

You need to up grade your suspension as well as the fact that the K20A2 is heavier than the D17. Coil overs and camber kit required at minimum
Also, if you are going to buy 2003 Si (USA) or SiR (Canada) front axles, you can also use the RSX axles and buy outer knuckles and they would work better for the increased HP.
Note: it cost me $1000 Canadian for Driveshaftshop.com custom Stage 2 axles (each rated to 400 hp) and the outer knuckles costed $800 Canadian.
If you are looking for RSX Type S axles let me know I have a set

The RSX Type S uses 9.7/6.9 liters for every hundred kilometers for highway/city respectively.
Our civics use what... 7.5/5.5 liters? If gasoline is going to reach a dollar a liter for bronze.. I hope you're ready to spend a lot more on gasoline.
You'll end up filling up premium on your Type S engine... you'll get like 500 km a tank if you're lucky.
With the D17 engine, you'll be getting 700 km per tank if you're lucky. That's 200 km difference. Not to mention a full tank of 50 liters will cost you $5 each time.
Over 3500 km... Assuming a dollar a liter and running right down to the petro fumes... your D17 will cost you $250 of gasoline. ($50 x 5 fillups)
Over 3500 km... Assuming a dollar a liter for bronze and running down to the petro fumes... Your K20A2 will cost you $385 of gasoline. ($50 + $5 [premium is 10 cents more than bronze] x 7 fillups)
That is a difference of $135.
Over a course of 100000 km. You can save yourself $3847.50 in gasoline. (This assumes the price does not exceed or drop below $1/liter for bronze). If gas prices go to where they are in the UK.. $2 a liter... You're gonna spend $8000 extra on gasoline. I dunno about you.. but saving $4000 over a 4 year period (100000 km is usually 4 years of driving) can be put toward a nicer car than a Civic with a nice engine it.
You know what they say... You can only go as fast as the car in front of you
Just to make you aware... the RSX-S engine at high rpms.. I'm pretty damn sure uses TONNES more gas than what it's saying there.. I'd be pretty safe to say you'll be getting 400 km per tank if you're lucky
That'll cost you $481.25 in gasoline (an added cost of $231.25 over 3500 km... an extra cost of $6607.14 over 100000 km). heh.
I'm not trying to flame you. I'm just trying to logic it out with you before you start helping the bottom line profits of the big oil companies.

yea i am going to change auto to manual. I can get the engine tranny and ecu for costs price which is really cheap i can't said it. but i have to find out what i'll need everything for the swap
If you want a price on motor, tranny and all that stuff give us a call at 416-259-6500. We have done alot of these swaps... Especially in the older gen civics.... Check out our website www.nextlevelautomotive.ca Thanks!
i have a lx coupe. even when it was stock, i couldnt get more then 600km's out of a tank.
and i would fill it up at about 45Litres
now, with the weight that i have added, and mods... i dont get more then 500km's out of a tank... this is mostly on city driving...... i'd be lucky if i even reach 450km's a tank..... and i would fill it up around 45liters still, at the most.
and i rarely turn on the a/c or heat.
but then again, i've heard arguments where a/c and heat doesnt use gas... and some say it does.
i never looked into it .... but i just assumed it would tend to use more gas if you turn on the a/c or heat.
if for some reason, i do mostly highway driving on a tank of gas, i can usually reach pass 500km's a tank.
i dunno about you guys, im sticking with civics for life. LOL
after all this modding, i dotn really care much for luxury cars.... a car's a car, till i know how to make it look better

I shift gears @ 3000 rpm.. when I'm cruising @ 60.. I'm in 4th gear @ 2000 rpm...
I can't get less than 600 km per tank.. I can mat the pedal in every gear and still get 600 km per tank.
I drive a 4dr LX. All of my friends love riding in my car cuz they ride in pure luxary. My A/C is ALWAYS on in the summer. Most of my friends open the windows in their rides.. I always use A/C.
