Like most of the 01 civic owners, you know that your struts are garbage, if your lucky then honda can replace them within 60k km under warrenty.. I'm one of those people that can't ge them replaced, so I want to upgrade.
I was wondering if koni is the only company that has struts for our cars !?
Is there maybe a full shock and strut setup anywhere ?!?
Anything would be of help, because I dont want to get honda struts and blow them again...
Thanks in Advance !

There is no Shock/Strut out yet besides the KYB GR-2s and those are an OEM like shock. Other than that, you are stuck with Koni Inserts. The AGX and Tokico Blues are supposed to be out, but we have been waiting for those for years.

$550 shipped usually. most people are going for true coilovers. konis are really good shocks, but you won't be able to keep your OEM suspension in stock condition.

I say true coils or a set of springs with konis. Coils are nice because they give you a lot of adjustability but sometimes that adjustability can be a pain. i have been adjusting my coils since I put them on in early March and they still aren't where I want them, but they are a direct swap in. Search around and see what kind of coils/springs you might want.

from what ive heard, the KYB's for our cars will be a full replacement, which includes the steering arm(the pic above is a generic one). on ephatch, someone emailed them and basicly found out that the reason they keep getting delayed is because they are fine tunig the steering arm
im waiting to drop till these are released. im not gonna do the coil over thing, and im not gonna cut the front struts. so, wait i will....

Hey all!!! This is my first reply or whatever ya wants to call it... But, I downloaded the Kyb catalogue from their site. it has a listing for the 01-02, but not for my 03.. They have the numbers there for the Gr-2's and the AGX's... The links to the sites where you can buy them are also in the catalogue...
BTW..... Has anyone had any trouble with their steering parts?? I am gettin a weird "knocking" sound when i move my whell from left to right...

save yourself the hassel and get true coilovers. you get a shock that is designed to work with the springs it comes with.... what more can you ask for. i guarantee you will not regret it
