i am in the market for some wheels. for everyday driving as well as auto-x. i will be useing them all the time (as in i can't afford more than one set like some lucky folk here). after doing alot of reading here and elswhere i am set on 15" wheels, better for auto-x. i think larger wheels definatly look better but i need that dual purpose. ok to the real question i know wider is better (ie 7.0 > 6.5). keeping with that theme how wide can we go on our cars? the widest i see usually is 7.0 but i have seen manufacturers that produce up to 15 x 8.0. would these fit or would modification be nessacary? like spacers etc.? i also don't want wheels that may have a negative effect on my car ie being unduely hard on the suspension, steering arms or anything else for that matter. yes i know auto-x will be hard on all of these anyway but i don't want any additional stress beyond that. any information would be appreciated.

15X7 is fine, I dont know if we can run 15X7.5 with out messing wit the offset, You could run 15X8s but then the car would look like this...

these are 13X9s but you get the idea... the wider you run, the more they will need to stick out to fit.

7.5's in the front need a low 30s offset or spacers. We tried it, no luck, it hits the springs. They do BARELY fit in the back though. This was the new Koseis with whatever the Miata offset is.

thanks for the replys guys i was hopeing to here from you 2 the auto x tire gurus i know the info you guys give is valid. 15 x 7's it is. thanks again guys now just to decide on which ones lol thanks again
