toda vtec killer cams for the d17
can some body anybody give me some info on the toda race cams. i dont even know if im posting this in the right forum but id like some info on em. i know they cost and arm and a leg but i hear the performance with em is amazing so could somebody please give me some info or a link to the site. thanks alot
DH, Bullfrog(Gude), KMS, and Crower .... Crower and DH are the lowest priced versions of a regrind out right now ... There are currently NO replacement cams available for the D17A(x) that I have heard of ..
toda vtec killer cams for d17 will never happen man. sorry to be the bearer of bad news but d17 is like a black sheep motor man. we dont get half the **** bseries motors get.

Rep Power: 336 yeah i know it sucks.....me n my buddies just pulled the d15 outta his crx and they were puttin the tokico shocks n struts in when i left its about 2 get a b18 and im jealous

This sport hydraulic lifter camshaft was originally developed for use in Volkswagen G60 engines. The unique demands of a forced-induction engine require a special cam design to fully optimize power gains. Shorter duration with less overlap are key features in getting the biggest charge possible into the combustion chamber. This cam runs strong after 3000 rpm and peaks at 6800 rpm, netting a 13 horsepower gain. The profile is 11.2mm lift with a 286 degree duration measured (the European way) at 0.1mm check clearance. Translated, this is 0.436 inches lift and 243 degrees of duration at 0.050" check clearance. The AUTOTECH Sport 286° solid lifter cam works best on injected cars that are already extensively modified. This cam requires the use of SportTuned valve springs and may require lifter bore clearancing on 1.6L and 1.7L production cylinderheads. Lifetime warranty from Autotech.
