Aftermarket Sunroof

If I'm in the wrong forum, let me know. Here's my query:

I want to put in an aftermarket sunroof (obviously professionally installed). Do you guys have opinions on this? I've heard a few people say that they love theirs, but the most vocal people say they leak like hell and I'm stupid for thinking of it. My thinking is, if it has a lifetime warranty, what's the big deal? Fell free to tell me what you really think.

Second question: I'm not trying to fool anybody or something like that, but I would like to wire the aftermarket sunroof to a factory switch (obtained from salvage or other similar means). Do you know if sunroof shops will do this, or if aftermarket sunroofs are even capable of this. I would really like to maintain a stock look if at all possible.

Thanks

CR

It's going to be a pretty penny to get it installed. I wouldn't do it for what it would cost, but if you want it that bad then go for it.

yeah, it will cost a lot and it wont even be close to what factory is, most of the aftermarkets when upon are angled and on top of th car as stock goes under the top of the car...the wiring should be able to be done and it will look alright closed, personally, i wouldn't do it. One of my friends did it on has cavalier and it cost a little over 1,000
