Just recently bought matrix 4-1 ceramic coated headers and tried to install them today. But, the new headers are about 6 inches short of reaching the collector. Anyone have any ideas? Did they send me the new headers minus a piece of pipe? Here's a link to the site where I got them. I drive an '01 HX coupe.

with some headers you are gonna need a custom downpipe or somethin to that effect. i dunno someone correct me.

The header should bolt right up to the down pipe. Thats what my DC sports did. What do you mean by collector? Downpipe? Cat?

What you bought was only the upper part of the header. Either take off you stock "top part" of the header and bolt the new one on the down pipe to the cat. Or take it to a muffler shop and they will put it on along with new piping, your choice or size, for about 30 bucks or atleast here thats the price.

Now that I read this again, how the f!@k is the header short 6 inches? you are just replacing the top portion. It blots straight to the down pipe. Pics.

Ok. So I really do need another pipe that takes it to the downpipe then? And the top portion of the headers only has one O2 sensor hole. Will I need another sensor hole on the 6 inches of pipe for the other O2 sensor?
