Springs and no shocks...

I need to put on the new springs I got, and I didn't get the shocks yet because I need money first. Can I put them on my stock shocks until I get the performance ones I need? My ride right now is so bouncy, and I can't take it anymore. What are your suggestions? Thanx.

Please read the suspension FAQ up above that says NEWBIES READ! It is in my sig. You run the risk of your shocks blowing. Don't ask how long they will last because we can't tell you that. If you think your ride is bouncy now, wait until you put those springs on. The shocks will get weak and not handle as well. It will get more bouncy but you can do it.

if your ride is bouncy now you might have already blown your shocks. id hold off on putting springs on cause that will just make things even worse.

but to answer your Q, yes, you can put them on w/ stock shocks. ive been driving like that for almost a year and no problems.

ditto to all of the above. it is going to be way more bouncy with lowered springs on stock struts. also, like Pbfoot said, if its bouncy now, your stock struts are probably already bad. lowering it without upgraded shocks is only gonna make it ten times worse. the roads aren't helping either are they? i lived in paterson for a while, i remember what they are like up there.
