I'm looking for input from people who have an aftermarket exhaust on their Civic and they love the sound of it.
My whole point here is that we can all pick out an exhaust system that looks good, we can also research and find out the performance advantages to a particular exhaust system.
But what we typically DON'T get to find out is how it sounds. I bet there's a few of you out there who got a really great exhaust and after installing it found out that it sounds like crap (even though it still might perform good).
So reply and give us your feedback, tell us what you have and whether or not it sounds good to you.

I got an apex N1 exhast system... and im running an injen intake with it and the exhast note is a clean low tone. quiet at idle and "normal driving" but when you get on the gas and get the RPMs up there it gives off a nice clean tone. not too loud but noticable. i love my apex N1!

I have the Tanabe R-Spec catback and the only time I wish it were quieter is when I have an older adult or my children in the car. There are also those times when police give me a look when I drive by(up shift when possible).
I have the Tanabe R-Spec as well and I love the sound of it. It has a nice low rumble (not bumble) below 3k rpms and as it gets up there it sounds awesome. I have a AEM CAI and when I start my car it just puts a smile on my face. I don't think it's too loud or annoying or anything like that. My girlfriend loves the fact she can hear me come home, but it's not a weed-wacker sound she hears, but a more subtle rumble, like thunder in the distance as I get closer, her words.
This has been discussed millions of times before, what you do is go up to the top, and click the search button.
As for me, I also have the HKS Hi-power axel back. Jayfreazy is right when he says that everyone that hears it, loves it. Similarly, it isn't loud at all, so it's good for long trips.

My magnaflow is pretty quiet. My intake makes more noise than it does. Its a double edged sword I guess, although it was damn cheap.
yeah im with Bigdog on this , i got an injen CAI and the Skunk exhaust sounds awsome with or without the silencer. Although its better with the silencer cause otherwise its pretty loud but still sound great . But the cops will stop you every single time if you dont have the silencer on .
And what i also LOVE about the skunk is that in the upper RPMs it seems as if the car cant get enough , u just push the gas pedal and you can feel the car goes way faster than without the skunk. I felt alot more power with the skunk than with the injen. My 0.02 cents

hks!! sounds great!!! not too loud, just the right sound that most people are looking for so they dont sound too obnoxious or "ricey" lol
well worth the money.. it can be found for like 300 bucks, its axleback rear section so it can attach right to stock piping unless u wanna get custom piping to make it more of a catback but i wouldnt go more than 2.25 piping becuase you'll just be losing low end but stock is 1.75..its up to u

i absolutely love my tanabe hyper medallion......its not nearly as loud as the racing medallion. its nice and quiet and cruising speeds, but once you get moving it gets a nice deep sound goin. i love it, and it's a nice subtle exhaust look wise

5ZIGEN - Not loud at all, you only here it when i rev - when i am at a stop its hard to tell i have after a market exhaust. - sounds good when i am driving though
RSR Exmag. It has a pleasing tone and that isn't offensive to those around you or those inside the car. It has a low profile and doesn't sound god awful like the typical coffee cans on steroids. I can't recommend it enough.
