Checking Interest: FS: SF Turbo Kit
Ok, just checking interest ... but I have an SF Turbo kit for sale ...
Equal Length Manifold
Alcohol Injection
Bigger Turbo
all upgrades ... $2800
I'll also include the Greddy Profec E-01 and Greddy Full Auto Turbo Timer for $400 (retail e-01 alone is $500)
these parts were all used for 3 months ... I ran a daily 7 psi ... smoked modded wrx's regularly, swapped ek's, modded gsr's/si's, mustang gt's ('01+) and ran even with 2 STi's (one modded)
If anyone wants my motor, that might be up for sale too haha

my friend can install it ... he'll probably charge $1-200 for it ...
yes, it will fit a DX/LX as long as you have an EX midpipe (not to be confused with downpipe) and an EX exhaust ... or you can just buy the tanabe extention ...
then again, you don't really NEED to have an exhaust ... it will be about as loud as a straight piped N/A car

How hard is the installation??
I really wanted a K20 but it costs just wayy too much, so I might just go with boost.

not sure ... I was at the SF shop from 9 am to 11 pm ... with an hour lunch inbetween ... I have no idea why it took them that long though since it says 6 hours in the DIY
I didn't really pay much attention when they were installing it though since I fell asleep so many times ... gotten 30 min of sleep that night haha

^will they install a tranny cooler too for us autos? I have an LX auto i want to turbo...
question for smog? is the turbo just a header like bolt on where we can remove it? replace back with the old header cat **** ....
I was thinking of leaving all the pipping becuase they can't nail you for that and using twistie on the oil line?
this possible?
Becuase sounds like a plan to me
very interested in purchasing

well I'm sure my friend would do whatever you want ... for the right price ... he's pretty good
as far as the legality of engine swapping ... I had the idea that it was legal as long as it is an engine that is the same year or newer and of the same country ...

Swapping engines in anycar after 1979 is illegal unless it is an engine that meets the emission standard for the cars original specifications.
Another Reason to Hate California...
other option is do the swap petetion to the CARB board and get it written off. Thats the Reregistration

wtf? ... how the f'ck do all these hatches and sheit get smogged?? ... there are hella hatches and coupes here with b16, b18 swaps ... even a dude with a b18c type r swap in a hatch
most of them are illegal. My friend has an h22 in his 5th gen hatch, and he just took out the engine and put the 1.5 or 1.6 (I don't know) back in to pass the smog. Oh yeah, the H22 is turbocharged (no intercooler...lol) and puts down 215whp.
