Amp Wire Inline Fuse

I already have a fuse in the correct spot but I was wondering if it would be okay to wire a second one in. My dilemma is that I want to wire an accessory trunk latch to my car tat requires 12v. The stock (white) 12v wire is kinda hard to get to so I was wondering if it would be okay to run this accesory off my amp wire. I would never be using the 2 at the same time and I firgue another fuse would be an easy way to splice without being cheesy. Thanks.

I dont see why not. I have my NoS and my deck power off the same lead but fused seperately.

tom1178 is an unknown quantity at this point
it should work fine, i used to have an audiocontrol equalizer that got it's power off my power distribution block. It's not like it's pulling any serious current.
