Picking a good EQ So, I want to add an eq into my audio system but i don't know what to get.
I am considering a few different brands:
I was told that Audiobahn is a good brand, but also told it sucks.
Is Audiobahn worth getting?
I was also told that Directed (Model 4500) is a good eq. Is this correct?
What about a brand called Planet Audio?

Rep Power: 313 EQ's have come along way but the rule of thumb is still "You get what you pay for". So if it's to good to be true then maybe it is. You'll probably have a hard time finding big name brand eq's (Alpine, Kenwood, etc) cause alot of the big companies are integrating eq's into their head units. But I would say stick to the good ones like Rockford, PPI, they all make quality products.

Im not to familar with Audiobahn's quality. But i have had pretty good exp with Audio Control brand EQ its been a while sine i bought mine but have never had a problem with it and works real well. Errr i should say WORKED real well its not in any of my current systems

directed makes some solid stuff
audiocontrol makes some great stuff, but no eye candy
ppi makes good eq's
phoenix gold makes good eq's
memphis makes decent eq's
alpine makes decent eq's
eclipse makes some good eq's
clarion makes some decent eq's
from all those brands, im sure you can find somehting nice and in your price range
