any one with blown teins yet?
OK I think I blew one of my teins and I'm not too happy... last night I let my girlfriend drive and we're at this restarant and she is hauling *** in the parking lot and somehow drives behind the restaurant and I tell her to slow the hell down and where the hell is she going, next thing you know BAM, she hits this huge f'in pot hole or something, anyways... she finally parks and when we leave I drive home because I was pissed at her driving skills, and then my car is making this sound like crushing a tin can.... then when I get home i pushed down on the back left side of the car and i hear like this hydraulic psshhh sound then I hear the same can crushing sound, seems like the shock is blown.... I wonder if I can buy one new shock or what I'm gunna do because that sound is so annoying... anything else that could be bad? or anyone else blow a tein yet?

check for leaks...if the strut is leaking, its blown, other than that, maybe dismount the assembly and check it, then check your chassy, lots of other stuff could be wrong.
i've hit scary pot holes on stock struts with ground contol coilovers and nothing happened...so double check. and if they are blown, i dunno what you could do man...warrantee? call up tein and see if they'll send u a replacement.
good luck

Tein's are Gas Filled so you probably wont see any leakage but if you can push down on the rear of your car pretty easy then maybe you did blow it. Proabably the only real way to find out is take the shock out and check it.

Yeah I'll probably have to take it out and check it out, that sucks cuz its the middle of winter here! I am never letting my girl drive my car again, I wonder if I could have a local shop rebuild the shock, or if I'll have to send to tein... that would sucks because this is my only car. I think the problem got worse today so I better get it looked at ASAP!
