I have noticed something

I have noticed something, after reading some of the post that people have written about their struts being blown, most of them have skunk 2 coilovers, and a few others just need new ones. It seems a little odd, maybe skunk 2 isnt really designed to work well with factory struts. Or maybe this goes for any coilover system.

It deals with the spring rate and ride height...... use a to high of a rate and the shocks get overworked and eventually fail. Lower/raise the ride height too much and the shock is forced to work at a Height that it wasnt designed for and it will eventually fail....

So this could be applied to all aftermarket springs

I havent had my sportline springs on for very long so mine still feel stong, I want to replace mine with adjustable konis because I want a really stiff ride. Mine feels fine now though.

Yup its mainly with most sleeved coilovers. Most sleeved coilover owners will find their shocks blown within 6 months. Springs are usually better designed for stock shocks. Eibach sportlines are designed with stock shocks in mind so they should last a good while before they blow.
If you like stiff go with neuspeed. They make one of the more stiffer springs. Eibachs are kinda soft.

^^ are you sure of that??^^^

Go test it, Push down on one corner of your car. If the shocks are still good it should do 1 occilation (After you push it down, it shoud just bounce up Then settle) iF they are blown it will bounce more.

I am not saying everyones are, but a majority of people who have complained about it either have skunk 2 coilovers or some other type of coilover
