Question Speaker preference

I am currently looking into getting new highs and mid's for my new car when I get it. I am getting the new VW R32 Golf upon release next month. Basicly I wanted info and opinions on these speakers.

Focal 165 series

MB Quart QSD series

Alpine SPX series

I am currently running Infinity Kappas 635i and 63.5 right now. I was wondering how much of a difference will I be getting in these speakers compared to my Kappas right now. I have gone to many audio shops and these were the most popular speakers that both the shops and my friends told me to look into. I know all in all I should make my decision by listening to them but I have yet to find a store that carries all three of these series in one place. I am looking for the best over-all sound and clarity of the bunch. All will be powered by an Alpine CDA-7815 HU. I have yet to decide on the amps for these yet. Any info would be appreciated.

I think, before you do anything to decide on the amplifier. I don't think the HU's power is really doing the infinitys justice. Mabye atleast a decent 2 channel for the front.

Right now my HU is running a Rockford Fosgate 800.2 amp for 2 JL W3's and a 300.4 running the Infinitiy's all arond.

Most likely I am leaning towards getting 2 MTX 1000.4 amps and using those to run my system. I am still looking for more options on amps but I am pritty sure i am getting those. I can get them for $275 new.

qsd's are nice speakers. but also a decent chunk more than the focals, which have a sound similar to the infinities you currently have. powered by the deck, they will neither one sound as awesome as they could. your first 2 options are my choice, dependant on if you want to save money or not for which one to go with.

I am for sure getting those amps. I finished putting in the order for them through my friend today. So what ever speaker I get is going to be powered by the MTX 1000.4. Friend lowered them to $250 each for new amps. The question is ow what speaker will sound better with this amp running.

I think Focal has a harsh sound on all their products, I havent heard the Alpine's, and the QSD's sound absolutely BEAUTIFUL...perfectly balanced to me. If I could afford them I would be running them instead of my PSD's. THey are by far my favorite speaker. I would def. recomend kicks or fiberglass door pods for them though...you'll want a good install for those speakers, they are quite high end.

qsd's are hot. to bad even with my hookups the front pair would have cost more than my 3 way front set up and rear PSD's. i just heard the new MB Quart Benz and its my reference system. i want mine to sound just like it.

If you're looking for components, look at the Diamond Hexes. (s600a) They are awesome. And I knew a few people who had the MB Quart Q series that are $1300 a pair and they like the Hexes MUCH better. And they are $549 retail.
