Skunk 2 Exhaust

I am looking to buy a new exhaust, I see a lot of info and clips about the GReady and the Tanable, but not much on the Skunk 2. I was wondering if anyone has sound clips or input on it. I see that they have a lifetime warrenty which is huge in NY. Well thanks for the help.

Hey i have the Skunk and i love that thing , i lost a little in the low end but above 40 or 50mph it just doesn't stop giving power its awsome.I have an automatic EX so i just start on 2 and then shift to D , that way you start a little faster. The sound is great with the silencer , its good without the silencer too but a little loud .But it does sound nice and deep when pushing the gas . Fit was fine too and everything u need to install it is there. I highly recommend it but it is also the only cat-back exhaust i have tried . I hope that helped , if u got anymore questions just ask and i'll answer them .

I haven't tried the Skunk2, nor have I seen anyone with it ... however, I have tried both the Tanabe Super Racing Medalion and the Greddy Evo II ... I have to say that the Greddy is a much better choice. The Tanabe hangs a bit low which makes the car look kinda off ... it scrapes in some places (and my car is stock height)...

plus, the Greddy is certainly deeper, but quieter (despite the Tanabe having 2 resonators) ... and the Greddy's piping design is better than Tanabe's. At the front of the Tanabe SRM piping, there is a small section (about 1 inch long) that is only 1.75" wide ... which is really stupid ... so there is a bit of a restriction there ... you're not getting 2.25" piping, you're essentially getting 1.75 stock piping.

I really can't find anything good about Tanabe's except that it is lighter and that the muffler is smaller. Greddy's muffler is so big it's ridiculous ... but it's tucked under the bumper, so you really can't see it unless you look under it.

My 2 cents

if you move off in 2nd in an autom automatic its slower than d because its only 2nd gear alone no 1st gear
