legality of dvd players; enforced heavily or not?

man, one of the things that'll suck about the new year is that they might pass a law in california that it would be illegal to play dvds while driving! what's up w/ that?

so... i was saving up 1500$ for a pioneer dvd player w/ surround sound processor and tv tuner, but now, it's illegal? does anyone live in areas where this is also illegal? do the cops really care if you watch tv while driving (like, how cell fone while driving is illegal, but it is hardly enforced)?
i really considered this b/c i drive thru rush hour everyday to commute to school and back. its not like i'll be moving that fast (prolly <20mph til total stop sometimes), but would the cops really care? is it easy for a cop to spot a guy w/ a in dash dvd player?

it all depends on your area and your cops

in 90% of miami you can get away 24 hours a day with 5% tint all around, but in some areas theyll pull you over like nothing.

Call your congressman and tell him to vote no to the bill.... Tell other people you know to do the same.... That's the only way to stop it from happening if it's not law yet....
