Aftermarket oil pan...

Are there any for our cars? I'm buying a new one next week and found the OEM one for $146. Any idea where I can get a NEW but aftermarket oil pan that fits up? I need one for the re-routing of my oil drain tube coming out of the turbo... Kinda fixing up a lot of problems I had with the initial install. Thanks guys...

Joe

yeah moroso make oil pans for our cars...$360 i think though, and it makes it a dry sump too! and it also increases capacity to about 5.6 quarts of oil.

really...lots of high performance cars use them....It allows you to have a larger oil capacity therefore keeping your oil cooler and cleaner.

yeah. . I didn't think of that before. Seems like an interesting idea.

Not to mention keeping higher quality oil keeps the filter good longer, and keeps the pump working longer too suppose. Nice.

Dunno how much it helps, but works in theory .

Well high performance engines actually rely on them. But for our cars it's just a safe guard just like an oil cooler.Basically anything we add like that is just ensuring us longer engine life with less problems. So for someone like me who will probobly never get to trade in my car and get an RSX (thanks wife!),I'll just keep my car for like 10+ years and keep building it up.

hell no on the swap...geez the swap cost 7-10k to do which is alot more than i'd have to spend in simply trading in my civic and buying a RSX (better car and better engine). If i end up keeping mine i'm just gonna build my engine over the long run,im not into swaps to such.

yeah it would actually be better for those people who autocross, because with a dry sump oil system the oil doesnt slosh around and cause potential probelms like a wet sump does...just something to keep in mind!

Dry sump systems are bad ***... but unless you are getting oil starvation, its not worth the price..
