I was thinkin about gettin a system for my car, which would you guys get, top of the line MB Quart components (qsd216) or the top of the line Focal Utopia components (i forget the #) but I have heard that the focals are really great and even better than mb quart and for cheaper, anyone heard both and can say anythin about em?

I personally like the the MB's better. i like the sound better, also i like the reputation that mb has had over its ammount of years experence, instead of focal's 2-3 years of existance

both are great componets. I would go with the focals because i have alot of experience with them and they are bitchin componets

see everyones heard of mbq and i have even heard their components but a friend told me focals are better and cheaper and ya cant beat that, even tho i havn't heard much about them

I think Focal has a screechy tweeter, and a hollow sounding midrange; but it is a very punchy mid, good for rock. MB Quarts have a warmer sound I think, especialy in the mid. The tweeter is smooth, although it is loud. You WILL notice the tweet.

both are really top notch sets, but if youre spending that much money you might as well go audition them at a shop

honestly though, you cant go wrong with either, theyre both some of the most widely used component sets in the sq competition world
