Gas Milage w/ 205/50/16 Tire?!?

My wheel is 16x7jj and the tire is 205/50/16
I've checked that the width has been increased by18mm for each tire....
and it seems my gas mileage is getting worse from the original 15"

The guys in the wheel's store has told me it's just consumed gas 10% more....

and I've seen that many of you has the 17" wheel
how's your gas milage?!

My mileage is just fine. I have 16x7 Slipstreams riding on 205/50/16 Kumho's and I have seen about 33 to 34 mpg.

Can I ask what your mathematical method of checking mileage? I fill up my tank and reset my trip odometer to zero... then when it gets to the light I go to a gas station and record how many miles were logged. I then fill it up all the way and note the amount of gallons added in. For example if I had 385 miles and I put in 11.49 gallons, to fill it up I have 33.5 mpg.
Just doing this once won't be enough so I average out 3 fill ups and that gives me an idea of what my mileage is like.

I currently have wheels, drop, bodykit, and exhaust. I just installed the K&N drop in filter the other day so I'm going to record my mileage and test out their claim that it "improves gas mileage." I suppose if it increases my mileage by .3 miles or more I'd be satisfied being that if gas was $1.79/gallon, then I'd save a few dollars in a month. In a course of a year I'd probably paid for my K&N with the savings.

I come from Hong Kong, I have to pay US$ 70.5 for full tank.
and I usually drive with "Stop and Go" style in town....
what's your driving style to get 33.5mpg!?

and what type of gas US usually use?! 92? 97?
here are all 98.......

lol gas here is either 87,89 or 93 octane and 87 is the reccomended for our cars...i mean anything over 87 is overkill because we have such a low compression ratio!
