I was shifting into 2nd off a light at normal speeds and all the sudden i heard a loud poping noise. I thought my tire poped.I pulled over and checked everything seemed to be fine. After looking around for 3 or four min. I got in my car, put it in first and it wouldnt move it just reved. I popped the hood (It was 9pm so it was hard to see) and every thing looked ok. After looking around for like 5 min I saw the throttle cable was loose. It had poped straight off. But that noise couldnt of been the throtle wire could it ..it was a loud *** bang....well anyway I put the wire back on and as long as I was very easy one the gas it stayed on(had to stay below 3k)...well the dealer replaced the wire and the throttle body under warrenty...Has this happened to anyone else...Just wondering?

well I had my timing belt break before and it did this but it could have been the recoil of the springs on the throttle body since it came loose

now....to answer your question.......it was just the recoil of the spring i am sure.......but dont take any chances.......get it into the honda place to have them look at it....good luck

good thing it wasnt your clutch, i've heard of the throttle cable coming off though, why it does it, i have no idea. But hopefully its fixed now and wont happen again
