Hey I have big decision to make and I need some input from my stage 7 crew is there any data on a turbocharged k20 swaped civic 1/4 mi. times and hp compared to sf turbo kit on a d17 I would like at least 300 rwhp ultimate goal is 500hp

well of course the FI K20A will be stronger but its all about what your HP goal is, money and what you want. Personally i would love to have a FI K20A but illl never use that kinda Hp on ths street so i would be fine with a NA K20A or a FI D17. Personally im leaning to the NA K20A but its all about money. No timeslips have arisen with the DC5EM2 but its got a crazi amount of solid HP on a large amount of boost

Now thats what Im talking about solid info no extra BS .I was starting to second guess myself dropping $6000 compared to $3500 but Im ready now. Zach remember I promised you a k20a if I sold that $20000 home audio set up well it never came to pass but I think our plan may be as close to putting one in your lap as is possible. stage 7

i'm sorry if you took it the wrong way, i'm not trying to feed you bs, i'm just saying that you need to do your research first before you ask the question. Anyways there are a lot of knowledgeable individuals on stage 7, so you should get some good inputs from them .. and I didn't see that you wanted their opinions, I thought that you just wanted the info about the car... anyways goodluck on your research !

Whats up bigjim.... Hey personally I think a turbo'ed D17 would be more than enough for me but if you looking for those kinda numbers your better off trying the K20 turbo'ed.... D17's turbo'ed are pushing 220 or so to the wheels and running 14 second quarter miles... That would be way more than enough for me...

Turbo d17's are running low to mid 13 second quarter miles.

And you'll need a lot more than an engine to run any amount of RWHP on a Civic.

Sorry to bring back this thread and ask another K20 question, but will a K20A from the DC5R fit in our car and still produce 200hp or will I have to just stick with a K20A2 from an RSX Type-S?

yea it will fit just as much as the K20A2 would fit. The main difference between the two is internals and the JDM K20A has a 6spd tranny and a LSD
