Just had a question for you all that would know more than I would, being a mechanic doesn't mean you know everything about every car. You learn that. I've mainly worked with Fords.
My question is this, where is the coil in these D17s? I'm trying to get some Nology wires but I have to order them special from the company. But that brought up this question. Anyone got the answer? I also saw someone on here had done the K20 swap into these civics, details? Thanks , laters-

They use coil packs instead of the traditional spark plug wires to a distributor.
DIS systems (especially multi coil systems) provide much more voltage than distributor
systems so it takes that much more to max it out and need an upgrade.

Direct Fire ignition on newer Fords
Unfortunately no, I 'm still getting to know all the new stuff, now. Just been focusing on getting Toyotas, acuras, and Hondas , becuse I know I will soon be working on mainly those SOHCs, DOHCs and the like other than the OHV designs I know from 20 Years ago. Takes time you know? Laters-
