I was wondering the same thing. The DMV website still states "No person shall drive any motor vehicle with any sun screening device or other material which does not permit a person to see or view the inside of the vehicle through the windshield, side wing or side window of the vehicle." It says basically you shouldn't have anything below 70%.

I've only heard about a new law from other people, i havent actually read anything about it so i'd be interested to know what it is...

i heard they have a laser type thing that they point at the window and the amount of laser let through is registered on the device and they subtract that number from 100 and if it is below 70 or something like that than u get a fine and a fix it ticket.

I had a friend that got fined once for having 10 inches of tint on the front window. The cop actually wipped out a tape measurer. Said the state law says you can only have 7 inches. He also got hit for limo tint on the back and sides.

yeah I know quite a few people who have gotten pulled over or fined for tint, yet they always pass inspection with it on lol.
