crush washer size?

crush washer size?
changin oil this weekend and my last oil change wasnt done by me but by goodyear. i dont know if they used a crush washer on the oil plug so i wanna buy some crush washers before i drain the oil or else ill be screwed if they did use a crush washer. does anyone know what size the washer is? is it a regular old crush washer that i can get at a hardware store?? i have a 2002 civic EX 1.7L v-tec

Buy them from www.handa-accessories.com there only 19¢ each, they aren't really a "crush" washer, but more of a "squish" washer. I wouldn't buy one from the hardware store, I don't think they're the same.

^^^ I agree. You buy a washer from a hardware store, it'll probably be hardened steel. The crush washers are made of some really soft metal (Its probably untreated aluminum) so they deform when you torque the oil pan bolt back on. Just get them from the dealer or one of the online OEM stores.
They are differant than the Home Depot washers. The crush washers do indeed look like very soft Al.
I bought 8 of them at my local dealer and it was less than $2.
Why hassle with an online purchase and shipping charges when they are as close as your dealer.
