I have a 01 Sedan and it's got very little in the way of mods. It should have a cheap CAI (Ebay) and a performance Muffler.
Does anyone know if that will effect California Smog Checks at all? Has anyone had any problems so far with Smog Checks, and mods on your car?
I really have no clue, so I'd like to know how you go about getting your cars registered if they may not be able to really pass smog.... if that's a problem.

How do you have 2 cats? DX/LX header (with cat) and the EX exhaust cat (in the back)?

Well the muffler I got from ebay too, and it sounds just fine. The intake I actually got from some guy on here... haven't installed it yet tho. Need to.
I just bought the car, so I need to smog it to put it in my name. After that, I don't think I need to smog it for a few years, registration-wise.

i've already got one traffic ticket in california, the cop that pulled me over didnt even ask for registration. And yes i had 2 catalyic converters. I had a lx header(replaced with the stafford fabrications header) and a cat on my exhaust like the ex. Only the hx's have them.

Would my car pass smog with the following mods?
1.) AEM SR Intake - CARB # included
2.) DC Sports Ceramic Header - CARB # included
I did not count the DC Sports TCS exhaust since it does not directly effect the emissions of the vehicle. Also, if the CARB #s make the mods legit and it passes visual inspection, then will my actual smog check pass? Since I'm a noob and I am new to this, please go easy on me.
Thanks.
