this would be fun

just buy it then you can get the sf kit and build the hell out of it and when your ready to sell just swap your original one back in.

Wow... that's a dirt cheap engine. I wish I could have found one like that when I killed the engine in my '99.

It's a MT. You can see the clutch still on it. I bet the bidding will start on this with 2 min left.

I just wanna make note that this is for the DX and LX trim levels. This won't fit an EX, unless you remember to remove the exhaust manifold. Also, I don't know how this will work with an EX computer, because it will be looking for a VTEC solenoid to send to. Just keep that all in mind if you're buying it.

It will fit in an EX, and you WILL NOT have to remove your exhaust manifold for it to work. Just get a new ECU if you want to use it properly.

Okay. Let me rephrase that - you'll need to remove the exhaust manifold off of the engine to mate to your EX exhaust manifold. Does that make better sense now?

Actually, I read that back in the 90s when people were doing B-series swaps every two seconds, shops would put the D-series engines in their back alleys HOPING they would get stolen. It hasn't come to that yet with the D17s, but then again, it's supply and demand. There aren't a whole lot of swaps done with 7th gens, so you may be able to get these things for free in a matter of just a few years.

yeah i was talking about the at to mt conversion.. correct me if im wrong but the only diffrence is the tranny(at have bigger tranny) and if you decide to convert it to a manual the tranny from a d17(mt) will bolt right in.. and you'll just have to buy the cables and the clutch acc(pedal etc).. am i right?
