G35 or Skyline??
Ok so im trying to find a parking spot at 6flags & I see this sweet looking G35, I love those cars so naturally i'm all over it. But as I get closer I see that it says S K Y L I N E across the back, & in the corner it had what looked like a GTR badge, didnt say GTR, but GT...something, I dont remember.
So what the hell was this?? It didnt look like rice, or a conversion, but a factory production car. I know in North America we have the G35, & in Japan they are called Skylines. Ive heard of a special edition talked about being released as a skyline in the US, but didnt know if it was true or not. I'm a little confused...

the G35 is as close to a skyline as we are going to get. It pretty much has a similar engine but no AWD or turbo. Nissan is supposed to drop the skyline name and go with something else. So yea it is rice...sorta...it is like converting your Si to look like a CTR and putting a CTR badge on it. It isn't quite the real thing but close.

Skyline 350GT is the Japanese version of what we get as the G35 Coupe with the VQ35 engine in it. In Japan, there's 3 engines available, with the 3.5L being the top one.

My 350Z is called the Fairlady in Japan and alot of people are Nismo-ing there cars which is the japanese version of the 350Z. Different spoiler, floormats, radiator/oil caps, Rays Nismo rims, under kit, Fairlady badge instead of 350Z, to name a few diferences.
The same with the G35 sort of like said above.
Hey rob remember the meet in B-more that G35 parked off in the distance.I had one dude tell me it was a skyline and it would woop my Z. With what i know now!!!!
BTW I am J-specing my Z!!!
