SR20DE in an NX2000 vs D17 EX COUPE

Well if you read EPISODE 1 you already know of the events preceding my run with the NX2000. If not....EPISODE 1 can be found here: http://www.importspeed-south.com/for...pic.php?t=8918 (basically my n/a sr20 friend ran him under the impression the NX wasn't gonna spray and he did and smoked my friend)

According to a friend of the owner of the NX2000 it has the following mods:

Me and the boys put that NX together. It has a JDM motor with a intake filter (factory intake pipe) UR pullies, a muffler, and a 50 shot. It still has factory piping and exhaust manifold.
So it boils down to this SR20 (twin cam) in a little egg (NX2000) with the above mods vs. my d17 coupe with short ram intake/header/axle back exhaust and a 50 shot of n2o.

The owner of the NX had challenged me to a race last week, but I declined. This week he asked again, at first I declined, but Danny encouraged me to take the run...so I did. I had a feeling I would lose, but hey...it's been a while for me anyway.

The RUN:

We hopped on the turnpike near SLi (local race spot). Original plan even before we left was to do a run from a second gear roll. Both of us would be sprayin a 50 shot of n2o. We both had passengers in our cars. (Danny was in my car).

First Run: Second gear roll. My car jumped ahead right away (about half a car) and kept pullin until I shut it down during 4th gear. His loss.....by a total af about 2-3+ cars.

Second Run: He wanted to do a first gear roll. I said cool. I didn't jump ahead by much once we punched it....we both had a bit of wheel spin. This time I jumped ahead by a bumper. 2nd gear though...started pullin, and the final outcome was about the same as the first run.

I have to admit, I was a little intimidated by the race. His light weight car and twin cam motor vs. my heavy *** p.o.s. and a single cam motor. Sure we were both sprayin, but I believed the odds to be against me for sure. All in all though, it was definitely a nice run. The guy (not sure of his name) was extremely friendly and a good sport!

I was told before I left SLi to run the NX that they would have another run for me when I came back...but that apparently didn't fall through. Next time maybe??

In the meantime:

D17 Coupe: 2
SR20 NX2K: 0
