ebay scam +20 hp
I just posted this but i thought that everyone should know about this rip off scam but dont qoute me on the resistors 20 ohm resistance but the rest is true its a waste of 5-50+ dollars Sorry for repeating this note in an independant thread i just dont want people getting ripped off
If you go on ebay and anything promises 20 hp on a stock civic is lying (unless they are selling nitrous of course but then 20 isnt very good haha) But it effects the way the sensor thinks the air temp is, the cold the air the more gas and for some reason people think that the more gas the better when in fact its just wasting gas, so any "mod chip" on ebay is gennerally a 20 ohm resistor i believe its 20 ohms but you can get one at radio shack for about a qaurter and plug it into your o2 temp sensor and then put electrical tape around it to hold it in. You can feel a tiny itty bitty change but it was worth it more people would do it. PM if you want more details on it but all the ones on ebay are just a trendy thing thats start to make things look more and more important and expensive. They all suck dont buy them

i bought this mod...i waited till i found one for $1.
i laughed when i got it. i used it, it adds power at the top....like 95-120mph is where you feel it. slower speeds, it doesn't do anything but eat gas. my gas millage went from 39 to like 28! i wasn't happy.
this is good for track/drag. if you went to the track, put one of these in on the drive over, so the computer can compensate. it does work, just not for a daily driver.

uhhh....yes i do get 39.5 mpg. i check my millage every time i get gas.
it ranges between 37 and 41 on the average. remember i'm at 6000 ft above sea level. there is less air, so the engine runs leaner. when i'm at sea level, i get about 32-38 mpg.

u guys dont know anything about performance. the most importent thing is weight reduction ie. removing hub caps, stripping ou tthe interior, taking apart the body until ur only left with the frame, engine, tranny and the drivers seat with pedals. everythign else like engine swaps is pointless. so when u learn about performace then u talk to me.
