Just when I thought I had seen the worst RICE!!!
I was dropping off a friend at a store near my work yesterday, and I saw this car. I just can't believe anyone would do that to their car. This moron decided to cut his bumper in half, and make the 2 parts hold together using cheap Reno-Depot style brackets, and the cheapest meshing out there!!! Luckily I had my camera with me, cause otherwise no one would have believed me!!!

On this one, you can still see the freakin price!!! hahahahaha!!!

that's great!!you could do somthing with that....i wouldn't get cought driving arround before you are finnished. you should have hung arround and asked him what he was doing. if he filled the mesh with some bondo, or fiberglass, or somthing, it won't be soo bad!

Actually, if you think about it, that's probably not a bad idea, espically doing that to the rear bumper. But cutting it off and lowering like that, he has now just decreased his drag co-efficient. Basically, this is a very cheap difusser. With the bumper lowered like that, and the mesh, he'll allow air to flow underneath the car and out the back better, instead of trapping it in the rear bumper. Very smart idea actually, if that's what he was going for.

some how i don't think that's the effect this guy was going for....
what ever happened to those inserts that were for this application?
i remember there were some nice ones, and it's a good idea to reduce drag.
