Everyone go look at your springs....

Look on the coil for a set of numbers that looks something similar to this pattern:
XXXX.YYY.ZZZ

Basically... thats the dimensions of the spring.
Example: 0700.250.060 is a spring that is 7" long, 2.5" in diameter and has a 600 lb spring rate.
Now everyone go look (front and rear) then come back and post it... we're gonna make a big list of spring rates.

I don't know if its on all... but I've seen the coding on quite a few... I always thought it was a part/serial number... but apparently not.

And the purpose of this is going to be? Is this so people know what the aftermarket spring rates are, espically if they're out auto-x'n?

Well this would actually have a point beyond AutoX. Those people who are looking for a comfy ride would then know what the softer ones were. Those interested in spirited driving would know what the stiffer ones were.
