Tanabe Sustec Underbrace FACTS (FOUND A REAL PIC)
I had to post a new thread because there is so much misinformation about this underbrace.
This brace IS better than the neuspeed and costs alot more also. It is NOT 80-100 like it says in MANY online stores. Even my local speed shop told me it was 90 bucks.
We finally uncovered the truth when I had him call tanabe.
Fact one: Everywhere its listed as a 2 point underbrace...the picture you commonly see of just a straight bar that goes from one side to the other is a 2 point. This is not the brace.

Fact two: It does not look like the triangular shaped brace that is also pictured everywhere

Fact three: Its shaped like a diamond and isn't cheap, Its actually a 4 point underbrace and i want it bad. Here is the closest picture to what it looks like (its similar to the wrx bar)

there are still links, they are all using the old pricing guide...For the old civics it was just a straight bar from one side to the other side. Thats why it was so cheap.
cheapest i've seen so far is at optionsautosalon for 168 and the # is TNB-TUB043F, is that the right one? and has anyone found cheaper cause im bout to buy it just makin sure thats right and best price

Get the one that will fit the RSX, dont go by what they say, whatever price they have for the RSX is the right price.
www.inlinefour.com has both for $97.50 i think ill be ordering from them

i jus checked inlinefour and i thought it was 97.50 too but then i realized its 80 + 97.50 for our car, its only 80 for the cars that have the two point bars ours has 4 thats why its like 177 or somethin, i think i'll be goin with optionsauto for 168 unless inline four is 177shipped

got carried away with the spendin and also got the cusco rear from machiii, i think by the end of the week i'll order the neuspeed upper front too, jus gotta make sure i have enough money
i didn't know it would hit or scrape, my car isn't lowered yet so i hope it doesn't, i just have problems goin over speed bumps too fast with my exhaust it hits the midpipe and sometimes the muffler, i just go over slowly now
keeping up with the spending, just ordered neuspeed upper front strut bar, so now that, tanabe underbrace, and cusco upper rear is on the way, in 5-10 business days my car will handle so much better
that's it for now until i get some more money

If its lowered it probably will scrape. I heard alot of ppl with the neuspeed x-brace scrape. I have lower spoon tie bar in the front and havent really had any issues with scraping, just got to be careful
