HALO altezza
Dear smart 2k1civicers
I just bought a set of altezzas w/ halos and am wondering 2 things.
1. What do i do with those 2 foam pads that came with the lights?
2. For the 2 wires, do i just splice into the red and black of whatever light I want it to be? Just wondering as if I am suppose to use one of those wires for grounding purposes.
Thank you,
Mak
I searched but there weren't that many people that posted it and since I have the lights I'll do a DIY since I have no knowledge of anything.

Foam pads? No idea...If they dont go to anything throw them out.
Wiring the halo's you have a couple options, it is all preference when you want the halo's on.
I wired my halo's to be on when the parking lights are on so they will be illuminated when it is kinda dark but not enough for headlights....which is when they look the best.
So splice them into:
1: Parking lights
2: Headlights
You could put them on your turnsignal also if you wanted them to flash when you put your indicator on.

the foam pads are there to keep your tailights from grinding against the metal frame. Or the seal and spaces inbetween. Even the oem tails have the pads.
You should find the parking light (the running lights) and tap into those. So when you have your parkings/running-lights on, the halo will also be on (on the lever, it's just the first click; the second click = lowbeams on).
