trying to build a nice suspension

i want 18" rims and a 2" drop but i also want a good ride what do you recomend in terms of lowering kits and shocks ect ect. also would i be scrapping or rubbing i really dont want to have to be driving like some other people on this site (kenshin) avoiding every little bump on the road lol. also kenshin made a good point that because he has to avoid bumps and holes it sometimes makes him look drunk and i dont want to be pulled over with some "stuff" in the car.

well with 18"in rims you wanna get at least 215/35/18 or 215/40/18 so it doesn't really rub and as far as suspension do you want coilovers or springs?

im not sure what i want thats why im asking im not looking for a cheap drop or a expensive set up i want something with a good bang for buck in terms of ride quality and a quality product. i hear skunk2 and ground controls are good when used with koni shocks.

if i have to get 17" rims to do this im ok with that.

I use to have ground control coilovers and Koni struts and the ride was really smooth. And the car handled awesome too!

depends on wheels offset, tire size, with 18s. i think 215/35/18 would be the best tire size..

you could do that with minor drop maybe about 1 inch for no rubbing.

in your case yes. since you are planning to get 18s but havnt decided tire size. and you mentioned that you are willing to spend around 1g for good setup. you could just get 215/40/18 for comfort, and drop with tein basic or tein ss. if rubbing issue occurs. then you can raise up height. personally i had tein ss on my 02 ex. daily drive 50 miles everyday. very nice setup. not bumpy. excellent quality.

you could go with either one. personally perferences. i would still go with tein setup because ive been hearing bad reviews about koni yellow. and for installation. front needs modifications. unlike tein fullcoilovers. 17s or 18s shouldnt matter since you can adjust height with either setup.
